Live trapping involves trapping the groundhog in a cage and then releasing it in a different location.

2. Habitat modification and physical barriers

Removing food sources, such as garden vegetables and fruit trees, can reduce the appeal of your property to groundhogs. Additionally, removing brush piles and other hiding places can make it less attractive as a habitat. Also, we can look at the option to install in-ground fencing to discourage burrowing.
